Elizabeth (Libby) Barnes, associate professor in the Department of Atmospheric Science, has made fundamental contributions to our understanding of the climate system. In recognition of her research, she will receive the Clarence Leroy Meisinger Award from the American Meteorological Society at the AMS meeting in January. The award, given annually to an early career researcher, acknowledges achievement concerning the observation, theory and modeling of atmospheric motions on all scales. Read more
