Applause – Camille Dungy

College of Liberal Arts

Camille Dungy, a professor in the Department of English, has won another major honor: a Guggenheim Fellowship. On April 9, the Board of Trustees of the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation named Dungy among the 168 scholars, artists and writers to receive the fellowship this year. Appointed on the basis of prior achievement and exceptional promise, the successful candidates were chosen from a group of almost 3,000 applicants in the Foundation’s 95th competition.
