Carmen Menoni, University Distinguished Professor and professor of electrical and computer engineering, has been selected to serve as president of the Institute of Electrical and ElectronicsEngineers (IEEE) Photonics Society in 2020.As president, she plans to launch new initiatives aimed at bolstering membership, publications and conferences, with special emphasis on increasingdiversity and enhancing professional development programs.
