Round of Applause

Three faculty members will be receiving stipends from the Office of the Vice President of Research to continue developing virtual reality experiences created by RamReality Create-a-thon teams this year. Jaclyn Stephens, assistant professor in Occupational Therapy, submitted the idea that took first place, for a VR concussion testing app that can be used in the field during games. An idea from Michael Hamilton in political science resulted in a simulation of the effects of rising sea levels on coastal towns, which won second place. And Kathryn Wotman in the ophthalmology department in the James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital submitted the idea for 3D modeling of healthy and diseased eyes as a teaching tool, the third-place winner.
