Ag Day returns to campus Sept. 21

Ag Day

Since 1981, Ag Day has been a tradition that celebrates Colorado State University’s roots as a leader in agricultural research, education and outreach. This year, the event takes place Saturday, Sept. 21, as the CSU Rams football team takes on the University of Toledo Rockets at Canvas Stadium.

The event, which begins four hours before kickoff on the west lawn of the Lory Student Center, includes a barbecue and cookout featuring Colorado commodities, music and live demonstrations from College of Agricultural Sciences faculty, staff and students.

A land-grant tradition of celebrating Colorado agriculture

Ag Day is a tradition that showcases the important partnership between CSU and commodity partners within the state, which is at the heart of the university’s land-grant mission. Over the years, the event has evolved from a small barbecue to an annual event that draws about 3,500 people.

This year will mark the fourth year Ag Day and Colorado 4-H will partner to showcase the activities and impact of the state’s 4-H community.
