The Colorado State University Employee Appreciation Board recently recognized the Laboratory Animal Resources staff for excelling at their job and helping make a difference for employees and students.
LAR provides the highest standard of care for laboratory animals in support of the CSU research community, collaborating with investigators to meet their research and teaching needs by providing a full spectrum of animal care and related services.
LAR was nominated for its role as a critical part of the Office for the Vice President of Research. The nomination explained the importance of the LAR to the university research community.
“The vet staff provide excellent care to every animal under LARs supervisor, and they treat every species equally,” the nomination said. “The Material handlers provide critical, literally back-breaking work moving supplies and products between the three LAR campuses. The administrative staff helps keep the operations of LAR running smoothly for the staff and the researchers.”
The CSU Employee Appreciation Board expressed its gratitude to the LAR for its impact on the research community and CSU. As the nomination noted: “Research could not function if it wasn’t for the hard tireless work this group provides every single day.”
