Rick Miranda, former provost and now professor of mathematics, has been named a 2021 fellow of the American Mathematical Society. The honor was given to just 46 mathematicians around the world and recognizes members who have made outstanding contributions to the creation, exposition, advancement, communication, and utilization of mathematics.
